Education is key in improving health outcomes. The Hope and Health Foundation will provide information and programs to help citizens become informed health care decision makers and will provide creative ideas to make healthier communities.
Our Current Campaign
We are focused on promoting Covid-19 vaccinations for minority communities in Southern California. African Americans and Hispanics are impacted by the Coronavirus more than any other communities, but are the most reluctant to receive the vaccine. Just 32% of Blacks nationwide say they would definitely or probably take a COVID-19 vaccine, according to the Pew Research Center.
The means to pay should not exclude anyone from receiving health care services. Hope and Health will provide the homeless and indigent with financial assistance for home health services. These services include:
Skilled Nursing: IVs, Wound Care, Diabetic Teaching, Medication Monitoring, Safety Evaluations
Physical Therapy
Occupational Therapy
Speech Therapy
MSW
Every year we provide $500 - $1000 scholarships for excelling high school seniors, with a minimum GPA of 3.0, who are residents of Southern California's African American community and are planning careers in health care. Must demonstrate financial need. Interested applicants should submit an essay of no longer than 500 words, explaining why they are pursuing a career in health care. Please include the name of current high school and name of the post high school institution you are planning on attending.
